Teach your daughter to survive in a rush hour
is a visual diary and performance project. Once we became parents our perception of the world shifted and new things became the focus of our attention. Things are not made easy for parents and children in the city. The rules of a rush hour apply to both big and small. What does it look like to take your daughter through the rush hour?

Prison Walk
Video from dumbo art festival
Vincent Van Gogh ‘La ronde des prisonniers’, (1890). Painted after an
engraving by Gustave Doré (1832–1883)
Prison Walk is an installation after a painting that was done after
an engraving. When Van Gogh had made his painting he had confirmed
with a statement made by Dore. This way the original statement made by
one artist got reinstated in the work of another artist. In case of
this installation we are reinstating the statement made by two great
artists with the means that are available to us today.

From Letter from Vincent van Gogh to Theo van Gogh
Cuesmes, July 1880.
“Every deep, genuine affection. Being friends, being brothers, loving, that is what opens the prison, with supreme power, by some magic force. Without these one stays dead. But whenever affection is revived, there life revives. Moreover, the prison is sometimes called prejudice, misunderstanding, fatal ignorance of one thing or another, suspicion, false modesty.http://www.webexhibits.org/vangogh/letter/8/133.htm

Jewish luck is Jewish luck. It is black or white. It comes and goes. But there is always something inside that stays forever.

commuters dreams
Featured artist show at Vox Populi, Philladelphia, PA
The show started with us sealing ourselves inside of the commuter’s dream. As our condition on the inside grew unbearable we had desided to come out of our dream into the world. We had torn through and exited the door of the car while everybody else stood clear.
